Cards That Give Back (CTGB) Saved over $7,000 per Year with InkCloud

Cards That Give Back (CTGB) is an online stationery store that sells holiday photo-cards and returns 10% net proceeds to supporting non-profit organizations. It’s a win-win relationship where families can purchase holiday cards AND support their local church, school, or cause at the same time. __Challenges__ Kathie Davis, the founder of CTGB, knew she had to optimize the order-flow to keep costs as low as possible and provide her customers with the best value. She also wanted the customer to have streamline the user experience of customizing greeting cards and finalizing orders.

Challenge
Kathie Davis, the founder of CTGB, knew she had to optimize the order-flow to keep costs as low as possible and provide her customers with the best value. She also wanted the customer to have streamline the user experience of customizing greeting cards and finalizing orders
- A customizable store-front to handle print orders
- The ability to create, store and manage design templates for customers to - choose from
- Customers had to be able to customize and preview their designs on the fly
- Payments processed by credit cards
- Orders needed to flow to print provider to be produce.
- Order status and ship information had to be kept in sync
- A dedicated portal would be needed for non-profit partners

Solution
As a startup, CTGB needed a flexible, managed solution that could scale with it as it grew. StoreFronts fit the bill perfectly and enabled a custom and easy user-flow

CTGB built up a library of design templates in Adobe InDesign and set them up in Ink Cloud's design template asset management. This allowed CTGB to designate customer-filled fields.

By utilizing Ink Cloud, CTGB was also able to capitalize on Ink Cloud's production network. Orders could be placed through CTGB and workflow automation would transition the orders to another provider, also on Ink Cloud. This eliminated the need to deal with sending upstream to vendors. This also meant that production status, tracking numbers, and notifications were synced in real-time.
